December 2 is International Day Against Slavery

The fight against human trafficking and forced prostitution by a third party was declared by the UN General Assembly on 2 December as “International Day for the Elimination of Slavery”. This date was introduced on March 2007, 25, on the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary of the abolition of slavery in the British colonies. This has been a problem for hundreds of years now. The modern form of slavery has gone from the rise of poverty, social exclusion, discrimination to forced labor to human trafficking. We must continue to fight today. We must launch international mechanisms to protect human rights, to help people free themselves from the yoke of "slavery" on this international day, without forgetting the lessons of history.

December 2 is the day the federal state of the United Arab Emirates was founded

On December 2, 1971, a federated state of Arab America was established in the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, along the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Exports account for 50% of national income. Until 2004, the country was ruled by Sheikh Zayed Ibn Sultan al-Nahayan, the Emir of Abu Dhabi. This administration lasted for 33 years. Following his death, Sheikh Khalifa Ibn Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Kingdom of Abu Dhabi, took over the presidency of the UAE in November 2004.
