TYPES OF IELTS EXAM AND PREPARATION FOR THEM
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) The purpose of the exam is to assess the level of reading, writing, listening comprehension and speaking skills in English.
The exam is held in 4 stages:
  • LISTENING (listening comprehension) - 30-40 minutes,
  • READING (reading) - 60 minutes,

Each of the 4 stages of the exam consists of individual skills tests. The tests and assignments in the test at each stage may be different.
There are 2 types of IELTS test: General (IELTS General Training Module) and Academic (IELTS Academic Module). The general test is taken by those who want to enter the educational institutions of secondary or secondary special education. Graduates of such educational institutions do not apply for a higher education diploma. In order to enter a university in order to obtain a higher education, one is required to take an Academic Test. The structure of both types of tests is the same, but the reading and writing test assignments of the General Test do not include the requirements for entrance tests to higher education institutions. Organization of documents (for example, reports, formal and informal letters, representation of information in drawings and diagrams in the form of text, writing abstracts), the ability to correctly fill in the documents in the form of questionnaires. Ability to complete documents accurately within a certain time frame and to use English in the style (formal or informal) required in the process of writing documents.
  3. Be able to write essays based on a variety of topics of social significance in a given limited amount of time.
  4. Good mastery of reading skills in review, information retrieval and learning methods. Finding information that is needed within a limited amount of time in spoken (spoken) or written (text) information.
  5. Be able to articulate the main content of a particular topic orally, answer questions that can be asked based on the topic, and do so on the basis of English in an appropriate style.
