Is interest forbidden in Islam?

• The question of whether interest is forbidden in Islam is similar to the question of whether kilos (kg) are haram or not. Weight is just a unit of measurement, and measurement is not haram or halal, in which the thing being measured is haram or halal.

• For example, a kilo of pork is unclean, and as many pomegranates are halal. The same is true with interest, that is, it is allowed or forbidden, depending on how it is used. For example, zakat can be measured as a percentage - 2,5% of the nisab is paid as zakat, but lending as interest is usury.

- By the way, there is no such thing as a small theft, and there is no such thing as a small usury.
