The first World Weaving Day was held in Paris. This traditional day was invented by Daniel Lendes, who loves to knit. Later, the day of mass weaving began to be held not only in France, but also in other countries - the United States, England, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia. Only their emblem is reflected in the background of the European map under two knitting needles and the slogan "We will knit together." In many places, the campaign has become charitable. Often weavers give what they weave on this day to low-income families or donate the proceeds from the sale at fairs to the needy. Very active weavers also send their products all over the world. In addition, on World Knitting Day, there will be exhibitions of mass knitwear, a fashion show. Store vendors also contribute by selling their products - knitting yarns, knitting machines. Today, according to various sources, World Knitting Day is celebrated in more than 350 cities around the world.
