The Department of Automation New Information Technologies uses and develops a single automated library system, provides methodological assistance in creating electronic catalogs and electronic databases.

In 1988, the automation of the library process was started, and in 1999, the creation of an electronic catalog of new domestic and foreign publications using the automated information program IRBIS of the Russian State Scientific and Technical Library. The electronic catalog of the library today contains bibliographic records of more than 25 new publications and analytical records of periodicals.
