Omar Khayyam
THE RUBAYS
The great philosopher, poet, astrologer, mathematician and physician Ghiyasiddin Abulfath Omar ibn Ibrahim Khayyam Nishapuri was born in Nishapur, Iran. The calendar created by the scientist, who was the only one of his time in the field of exact sciences, was, according to the unanimous testimony of the sources, more accurate than the existing Gregorian calendar. A number of his works on mathematics, astrology and philosophy have reached us.
Umar Khayyam studied in the cities of Nishapur, Balkh, Samarkand, Bukhara. According to the stories, Nizamulmulk, the minister of the Seljuks, offered him the governorship of Nishapur. But Omar Khayyam will not agree to this. Since 1074, he has been in charge of the Isfahan observatory, conducting research in the fields of mathematics and astronomy. Several of his works and discoveries related to mathematics, astronomy, philosophy are known.
For example, in 1077, he wrote a commentary on the book of the Greek scientist Euclid, showing ways to find the roots of whole numbers. In 1079, Khayyam produces a new reformed calendar. This calendar was adopted in Europe 500 years later and was more accurate than the Gregorian calendar, which is still used today. Also, his works such as "Risolatul-kavn vat-taklif" ("The Universe and its tasks"), "Risola fil-wujud" ("Treatise on existence"), "Risola fi kulliyati wujud" ("Treatise on the totality of existence") is famous.
Omar Khayyam did not consider himself a poet at all. When his Rubaiyan was tired of scientific research, he ended up in various fields. Look at the game of fate that the great discoveries in various fields of science, in which the scientist spent most of his life, were left aside, and he spread the name of Khayyam to the world, which he considered secondary.
It is his Rubaiyat that made Omar Khayyam famous in the world. Omar Khayyam was not a poet, but he wrote down some of his thoughts about life in a 4-line poem. Until the 1859th century, no research was conducted about his rubai. It was first studied by Oxford University professor Thomas Hyde, then Von Homer Birgestel and Meme Nikolos. In 70, after the English poet and translator Edward Fitzgerald published his translation of XNUMX rubai of Omar Khayyam, these poems became very popular and were translated from English to other languages of the world.
The number of Rabbis of Khayyam is said to be from 11 to 1200 in different sources. There are also various doubts that he wrote the Rubaiyats attributed to Khayyam. Especially, the rubai of the poet, who was praised by his contemporaries as "a great scholar, a thinker, and a pious person", on the topics of pleasure, easy life, luxury, disbelief, and cowardice, are unreliable. There are reports that such Rubai's were deliberately fabricated by some groups against Islam. Even the manuscript of Umar Khayyam's Rubaiyat kept in London was found to be fake.
There is probably no Uzbek family that has not been penetrated by the rubai of Omar Khayyam. Its philosophical content is deep and artistically matured by the famous translator Sh. Shomuhamedov's translation has been published several times. Later, J. Kamal translated some of the poet's Rubaiyats into Uzbek with his own weight.
Umar Khayyam's rubai, which was first born in thought and then penetrated into the heart, in a word, about the Universe and Adam. The poet looks at the changes in the world with wise simplicity and indifference mixed with regret: if you can't change the world, it's useless to worry about it. For him, birth and death, good and bad, halal and haraam are the same: everything is based on its natural law.
As a representative of worldly philosophy, Khayyam sifts the world in the sieve of reason - he measures the problem of the Universe and Man with the standard of general philosophy. In this sense, in the work of Khayyam, we encounter a brutal philosophy that transcends both man and the universe - that embraces the world. But the farang philosopher Laroshfoucault: As Omar Khayyam said, "Philosophy celebrates the sorrows of the past and future, but today's sorrow celebrates philosophy." is a series of fiery emotions. If it were not so, Khayyam's rebellious poetry would not have been born.
The great scientist, astronomer Omar Khayyam died in Nishapur in 1122.
***
Alas, life is wasted,
I didn't get a breath of dirt,
My face is black because I didn't do what you ordered.
Dod from your actions outside of your command!
***
We are the fruit of the world's wish,
We are also the jewel of the mind.
If we consider the round world as a ring,
Undoubtedly, we are the jewel of his eye.
***
Before you and me there was night and day,
There was also the whole sky.
Tread carefully on the ground,
This dirt was a black eye.
***
Once I entered the pottery shop,
The master potter worked at the workshop,
From the hand of the beggar, from the head of the king,
Make the jug's neck and handle.
***
Even if we don't exist, the world will be,
None of us will be targets,
We were not there before, it was not enough, halal
Even if we are not yet, we will be.
***
There is every particle on the face of this earth,
Once upon a time there was a moon-faced dildo.
Nozanin slowly removed the curtain from his face
It was once a beautiful face.
***
My mind was not deprived of knowledge.
There is no secret that it is not abstract.
I thought day and night for seventy-two years.
I understand - nothing has been revealed.
***
I am your charm, let me know
It can be summed up in two words:
Your love is dusty, but it's because of your love
I'll raise my head, jilvagar.
***
Old, young - everyone is good enough for life -
Everything passes one by one.
This world will not be left to anyone forever,
They come, we go, they come, they go.
***
A hundred rooms are destroyed by the blood of my heart,
I'm afraid of my uvvos tortuvim.
Every eyelash has a river of blood,
When the eyelashes close, the storm begins.
***
Unfortunately, the boyhood season is over,
Winter is over, winter has come,
He is a bird of joy called youth
I don't know when it came and went.
***
This is a very old rapture, the world is a name for it, -
Go to the vulture day and night, rest in this.
This old party is left from hundreds of Jamshids,
Hundreds of Bahrams lie in this grave.
***
We came from nothing and became impure,
Sho'hu came cheerfully and we were sad.
Our eyes are full of fire in our young hearts,
Life has passed away, and so have we.
***
Happy if you can please a stranger -
It is better to make the earth more prosperous -
If you can enslave a heart with Lutfing,
It is better to be free than to make a hundred slaves.
***
Keep a secret from Nokas, close your heart,
Try to hide from the fool,
See what you've done to people's lives,
Look at that too, ask that.
***
When this day comes, from your hand, zinhor,
Rejoice for the sake of the dear ones, O dildor.
The kingdom of Hus will not last forever,
There is also a sudden loss.
***
Don't let the world suffer,
Where is the person who lives here, is there a rule?
Save a few breaths,
A deposit needs to be a deposit.
***
If there is harmony, even fire is human,
Fire is easy for wise people.
Avoid the conversation of incompetent people.
Bad to bad conversation.
***
Three or four fools who think they are wise
The donkey shows its nature.
Be a donkey in this conversation,
If not, they will be declared an "infidel".
***
Satisfied as a sorrel,
It is better to be a guest than a guest.
Better than Nokas' molasses bread
Barley bread that you found and ate.
***
The world is an example of a golden pot
The water is sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter,
Don't think I have so much life.
The saddle is always the horse of death.
***
Hijra, the sorrow of my death,
I grabbed your skirt from the past.
You are gone and a thousand hearts died of your sadness,
You have returned, and a thousand lives have become your sacrifice.
***
You will serve the lowly ones,
Don't be a fly to every food,
Eat one loaf of bread for two days, don't give thanks,
Your heart is better than other bread.
***
If you spend your energy, wear, drink,
It's worth doing this.
Be careful, the rest is worthless
Spend your life and pass away.
***
Quran in one hand,
Sometimes we are honest, sometimes we are dirty,
Under a turquoise domed sky
We are neither true Muslims nor infidels.
***
Every time someone comes out and says, here I am,
He says, "Here is Me."
While his work was progressing, one day death,
He suddenly said, "Here I am" coming out of the ambush.
***
When you can't come back to this world,
I'm afraid we won't be enough, my friend.
Let's enjoy this moment,
Maybe we won't even reach this moment.
***
Our soul leaves this body,
Our two brick graves hide our eyes,
Then to lay a brick in another grave,
It crushes our soil and turns it into mud.
***
When you can't come back to this world,
I'm afraid we won't be enough, my friend.
Let's enjoy this moment,
Maybe we won't even reach this moment.
***
My heart was barely a corner,
He is a source of grief in another place.
If I look to him for my medicine,
Netay, my doctor is also a patient.
***
You correct the work of the dead and the living,
You are an observer of the scattered universe,
Even if I'm bad, I'm your servant
What can I do? You are the creator!
***
Hear it will ring forever,
Gado's enemy is Gado,
Until the two find each other,
In the middle, this world will be perfect.
***
He looked at the potter's shop,
About two thousand pitchers have a silent conversation:
"Which of us is the seller," said a pitcher, "
Which one of us is a receiver, which one is a pitcher.
***
A potter shows his craft in the market,
He kicks a piece of raw clay and cooks it.
Clay moans, "Hey, kick slower,
I was a potter, like you, brother.
***
I'm not afraid to leave in this world,
Because in that world my life is longer.
When the time comes, save your life
I will give it to you.
***
Don't worry about the world, my friend, it's in vain
The world is very sad without sorrow,
It's gone, not yet,
Live in peace without worrying about what you have or don't have.
***
If you get fame, people are jealous.
If you stay alone, they will suspect you.
Don't know anyone if you're a secret,
Let no one know you.
***
Listen to me, my good friend,
Don't think about the affairs of the world.
May you be satisfied with the beautiful place,
Do the work of the world.
***
My life is dying, my pain is unbearable,
Pleasure is short, hard work is progressing.
Thank God a thousand times
And kulfat didn't need me enough.
***
A branch of prosperity from your happiness,
Although it is the dress of your life, congratulations.
Don't lean too much on the tent of your body,
All four stakes are weak, man.
***
Where did you grow up, my dear?
A star in the night that puts the moon to shame.
My faces are beautiful for the party,
Your face is as beautiful as the world.
***
If your property is Egypt, or Rum, or China,
Or hold the whole earth in your judgment,
Know how much you will get from this wealth:
Two gas floors with ten gas shrouds.
***
Irreplaceable or finished pen,
It's only sad if you keep your heart full.
Even if you drink liver blood all your life,
Your life cannot be extended.
***
Apple cider is a spell of love,
The ode to youth is a jilva ziya.
Oh, ignorant of the world of love, know,
Isn't love the meaning of life?
***
Don't hurt anyone, don't hurt anyone,
Don't take your anger out on anyone, my lord.
Hurt yourself, don't hurt anyone
If you say happy, you will be sad.
***
If the heart does not burn in the fire of love,
It's not a pity, the patient is funny.
For every day without love, know:
You have wasted your life.
***
Satisfied with stale bread in a corner,
I did not want more luxury than that.
Poverty bought my soul from the heart,
I have not seen a country more than poverty.
***
A friend to a pure, harmonious, intelligent person -
Don't be afraid to avoid it.
Drink even if a wise man poisons you.
It's stupid even if it holds juice.
***
I am devastated by this pain-stricken tongue,
He didn't wake up from love, my dear wife,
The day they gave the wine of love
My liver is full of blood.
***
Khayyam restored the tent of wisdom,
It burned in the fire pit.
The scissors of death cut the thread of life,
This was the end of his service.
