Protect Your Wi-Fi Router from Hackers (Part 1)

I will try to post one on this topic every week, as there are a lot of guides on the Internet on how to hack a Wi-Fi router.

First, a brief overview of how a Wi-Fi router works (in the internet example):
The Wi-Fi router is connected to the Internet from somewhere (wired or wireless), which allows the router to use the same Internet for others. It uses a login (SSID) and password system for use only by certain people.
Anyone who knows this login and password can use the internet that distributes Wi-Fi.

Many try to break the system and use the internet without permission. Various programs are used to hack the system, these programs basically hack misconfigured routers quickly and easily. So, the first tip on setting up a router is:

Disable the router's WPS feature.
I wrote above about WPS (https://t.me/planetait/521), login without password, very convenient and fast. This possibility is the main reason for breaking the router. Basic programs that break the router take advantage of this.
Example:
The person who steals the cars comes to the parking lot and first checks to see if the car door is left open. If the door of any car is left open, the car will be stolen without any problem. WPS is like that open machine.

Do not use WPS! I don’t mean, just run it when you want it and turn it off immediately.

Why is WPS safe?
You could say that no one can connect until you press the WPS button, but WPS “opens its door” not only when you press the button, but also when you enter the PIN code on the back of the router.
This PIN will be 8-digit and visible to everyone, and finding this eight-digit number through apps is no problem.

Disable WPS on the router;

On the TP-Link router:
We access the admin panel via 192.168.1.1 and:
Besprovodnoy mode -> Zashchita -> WPS -> Disabled

ASUS router:
We access the admin panel via 192.168.1.1 and:
Additional parameters -> Wireless connection -> WPS

ZyXEL router:
We access the admin panel via 192.168.0.1 and:
Setup wireless network -> WPS

☝️You can easily find out how to disable WPS on other models on the internet.
