Prayer of fasting (sahar, closing the mouth)
Navaytu an asuvma sovma shahro ramazona minal fajri ilal maghribi, kholisan lillahi ta'aalaa, Allahu akbar.
Meaning: I intended to fast the month of Ramadan from dawn to dusk. God is great for the sincere.
Iftar prayer
Allahumma laka sumtu wa bika amantu wa aalayka tavakkaltu wa 'ala rizqika aftartu, fagfirli, ya Ghaffaru, ma qoddamtu vama axxortu.
Meaning: O Allah, I have observed this fast for You and I have believed in You and I have put my trust in You and I have broken my fast with the sustenance You have given me. O Most Merciful of the merciful, forgive me my past and future sins!
