September 11 is International Wildlife Day

September 11 is designated as World Wildlife Fund Day (WWF). The organization was founded in 1961, and when the foundation was formed, it was solemnly announced in a small town in Switzerland that it aimed to preserve wildlife. In 1962, the foundation presented its first initiative, and representatives of the organization signed agreements with all countries to protect wildlife around the world. In 1971, Prince Bernard of the Netherlands personally donated $ 10 to the Wildlife Conservation Fund (WWF) through a personal application to the Presidential Fund. This gift has become one of the main financial problems of the fund. He himself added another thousand new members to the foundation, and he was admitted to the foundation as the first 1001 members.
