(UN Holidays) World Sight Day is celebrated every year on the 2nd Thursday of October by the World Health Initiative. On this day, the attention of the whole world is focused on the problem of the visually impaired. The founders of this annual festival are the visually impaired patients themselves. One of the most important issues of the day is the prevention of this blindness. Causes of chronic blindness are pediatric eye diseases caused by cataracts, glaucoma, yellow spot (aging) degeneration, corneal opacity, trachoma, and vitamin A deficiency. There are many disorders in the world today that cause diabetes and age-related blindness. Cataract - dizziness of the eyeball. In this case, the path of the rays of light falling on the eye is partially blocked, and the eye is sometimes blind. If the onset of dizziness in the eyeballs is called primary cataract, the blurring that occurs after the nucleus or cataract masses have been removed is called secondary cataract. Cataracts are congenital and amplified in life. Adverse effects of various external and internal environments on the developing fetus from the mother's womb, various diseases of the mother during pregnancy, especially infectious diseases, as well as hereditary diseases transmitted from generation to generation cause congenital cataracts. Acquired cataracts have aging, traumatic and complicated types. In acquired cataracts, over time, the eyeball becomes completely blurred. Cataracts develop slowly in old age, it occurs more often in the age group of 55-60 years. The disease is diagnosed in time and treated with the necessary drugs or surgically removed with the help of microsurgery, ultrasound or laser light.
