And peace be upon you. A number of our books of jurisprudence, including Maraqil Falah, state: "It is makrooh to take the name of Allah or the Qur'an with you to the toilet." The footnote to this book also quotes Anas from Hashiyat al-Tahtawi as evidence of this: (Reported by Imam Abu Dawud and Imam al-Tirmidhi). Because the rings of the Messenger of Allah had a pattern "Muhammadur Rasulullah". During these words, the musannif says: “Makruh means inscriptions that are not obstructed. It doesn't matter if the writing is in your pocket. "

It is narrated from Al-Munya in the book Kohistani: “It is better not to have a mushaf in your pocket. Except as necessary. We hope that he will not be guilty if he takes it in his pocket even if it is not necessary. ”

Based on this information, modern scholars say that it is makrooh to bring the Qur'an and similar programs on phones openly on the screen. If the phone is turned off and the apps are not open on the screen, there is no harm in that. Vallohu a'lam.
