Biography of Hojakbar Nurmatov

Hojiakbar Nurmatov was born on November 1944, 25 in Tashkent.
 
The actor entered the Tashkent University of Theater and Fine Arts in 1964, where he studied with actors Erkin Kamilov, Yodgor Sadiev and Gulchehra Jamilova.
Hojiakbar Nurmatov began his acting career in 1966 at the present-day Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater.
During his work in this theater, he participated in more than 10 performances.
 
During his career in cinema, the actor has appeared in more than 20 films and played several memorable roles.
At the same time, Hojiakbar Nurmatov has worked in the field of dubbing for many years, participating in the dubbing of about 2000 films and series.

He was awarded the title of "People's Artist of Uzbekistan" in 1999 for his work as an actor.

The actor last starred in the 2006 film Khoja Nasriddin: The Game Has Begun.
Hojiakbar Nurmatov died in February 2007 at the age of 62 from a heart attack.
