Constipation or constipation in a baby

Constipation is common in the first months of a baby's life. Sometimes a baby may not have diarrhea for two to three days. In constipation, the baby's stomach becomes hard and dry. Then the baby becomes very restless, cries loudly, sweats and becomes weak. If constipation persists, the condition will worsen. That is, the mucous membrane of the rectum is injured due to the hardness of the stool.

What causes constipation in a baby?
There are several different causes of constipation in babies:

Improper feeding of a baby (e.g., improper breastfeeding) often causes constipation. Because if the baby's nipple is not held properly, he will get tired quickly during breastfeeding and will not be able to get enough food.
🍼Most mothers give complementary foods with the help of pacifiers along with breastfeeding. Infection passed through the sucker at this time has a negative effect on the intestinal microflora. As a result, due to the breakdown of the microflora, nutrients in the stomach are not broken down and not absorbed enough. After that, the child has constipation.
An infection that enters the baby’s body through various routes (e.g., unclean pacifiers, not washing the nipple before breastfeeding, contamination of the feeding vessel) develops and inflames the intestines. This causes chronic constipation in infants.
Sometimes an intestinal infection leaves a complication, resulting in intestinal atony, resulting in the development of chronic constipation.
Because the baby's anterior abdominal muscles are not well developed, he has difficulty straining. As a result, gas naturally accumulates in the baby's intestines and makes diarrhea difficult.
In addition, the child has constipation even if the stomach is not full.

What to do when a baby has constipation?
To prevent constipation, every mother should follow the following tips:
IzingFed the baby well, so that he does not go hungry;
Ko'pinchaPut the baby on his stomach often;
👶 move the child's body by holding his arm;
Vitamins can be given to the baby in consultation with a doctor to improve bowel function;
⏱Gently rub the baby's abdomen clockwise.
Some mothers use Vaseline-filled tubes, matchsticks, or glycerin candles when the baby has constipation. These things will help the baby a little bit of diarrhea, but the baby may also get used to it later.
Other same mothers rush to enema the baby. Because the baby’s skin is so delicate, the enema often causes unpleasant complications. That is, if a slight mistake is made in enema, then the child may develop paraproctitis (colon disease).

In general, in the first months of a baby’s life, it is necessary to feed the baby only breast milk to prevent constipation. Because breast milk contains all the vitamins and trace elements necessary for the baby's body.
