Article 81 of the Family Code stipulates that deprivation of parental rights does not release a parent from the obligation to provide for his or her child.
❗️What does that mean? Even if a parent is deprived of parental rights in respect of a child, the parent is not released from the obligation to pay child support. That is, the obligation of the parent deprived of parental rights to pay child support in the amount specified in the court decision is retained.
