Answer: It is permissible to fast if it is not for the sake of boredom, but for the purpose of refreshment or purification, and if he has taken measures not to enter the water. Vallohu a'lam.

Question: Is it permissible for a fasting person to brush his teeth with toothpaste?

Answer: It is makrooh for a fasting person to consume toothpaste. Vallohu a'lam.
