Influenza vaccine

The vaccine contains a weakened influenza virus, the amount of which is very small and it is not able to infect the body, but the immune system recognizes the "enemy" through the vaccine and learns to fight it.

Vaccines are created from a live influenza virus that is somehow “killed” and broken down into pieces. They enter the body and develop immunity against a particular type of disease. All influenza vaccines currently used worldwide are designed against different types of influenza virus. The difference is in the number of pieces and in what proportion they are mixed. The anti-influenza agent is administered intramuscularly, under the shoulder, or under the shoulder blade.

There are more than 30 known types of influenza, but not all of them require vaccination. Modern vaccines include: Types A, B and A. This is usually sufficient to protect against the underlying types of the disease. But there are also cases that require re-vaccination.
