HOW LONG IS THE DISCIPLINARY PUNISHMENT?

⚡️QUESTION;
How long does it take for an employee who has received a disciplinary sanction to have that sanction removed?

⚡️ANSWER;
According to Article 183 of the Labor Code, the term of a disciplinary sanction may not exceed 1 year from the date of imposition of the penalty. If the employee is not disciplined again within this period, he shall be deemed not to have received a disciplinary sanction. (Can walk as if nothing happened)

❗️Employers who impose a disciplinary sanction have the right, on their own initiative, at the request of the employee, at the request of the work team or the immediate supervisor of the employee, to remove the penalty even after 1 year.

❗️One of the negative factors of disciplinary action is that no additional incentive measures are taken during the period of punishment of the employee who is subject to this punishment.
