In what doses should nasal drops be used in pediatric practice?

Children are more likely to use preservatives containing oxylometazoline (Snup, Tizin, Farmazoline) or oxymetazoline (Rhinoxyl, Rinazoline, Nazivin).

❗️Oximetazoline drops are recommended for children under 1 year of age.

Doses

☑️Children over 6 years of age:
🔰0,05%
1-2 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day

☑️Children from 1 to 6 years old:
🔰0,025%
1-2 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day

☑️Children under 1 year of age:
🔰0,01%
For babies under 4 weeks, take 1 drop in each nasal passage 2-3 times a day

From 5 weeks to 1 year
1-2 drops in each nasal passage are prescribed 2-3 times a day.

The duration of application of drops is a maximum of 5 days.
