When applied topically, it has antiseptic, irritating and distracting effects. When taken orally, it affects the function of the thyroid gland, enhances the process of dissimilation, fibrinolysis, has a satisfactory effect on fat metabolism, reduces the rate of blood clotting, has a expectorant effect.
In the tertiary stage of syphilis, the accumulation of iodine in the nodular structures that form in the tissues helps them to be absorbed and softened. However, the accumulation of iodine in the foci of tuberculosis exacerbates the inflammatory process.
? Mechanism of action?
Easily absorbed through undamaged skin It accumulates in the thyroid gland. It passes through the satellite barrier. It is excreted mainly through the kidneys, partly through the gastrointestinal tract, sweat and mammary glands.

Infectious and inflammatory skin lesions, wounds, cuts, myalgia, trophic and varicose wounds, thermal and chemical burns of I and II degrees. Local: in tonsillitis, laryngitis.

Inside: atherosclerosis, stage III syphilis, chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract.
? Method and dosage:
The affected area is treated as a "iodine mesh" with a cotton swab dipped in a solution of the drug on the surface. During surgery and burns, a gauze napkin is applied to the affected area soaked in iodine.
Local - 5-10 drops of the drug are dissolved in 100-200 ml of warm boiling water and used to rinse the throat. To prevent atherosclerosis, take 1-5 drops 10 time a day 30-2 times a year for 3 days; in the treatment of atherosclerosis and inflammation of the respiratory tract 10 drops 3 times a day; In the third stage of syphilis, 5 to 50 drops are taken 2-3 times a day. The maximum single dose is 20 drops, daily - 60 drops. The drug is taken after meals with milk.

⭐️When ingested: allergic skin reactions, tachycardia, nervousness, sleep disturbances, profuse sweating, diarrhea (in patients over 40 years of age), hypo or hyperthyroidism may occur.

Not recommended for use in children under 5 years of age with pulmonary tuberculosis, nephritis, nephrosis, heart failure, adenomas (including thyroid), scabies, acne, chronic pyoderma, hemorrhagic diathesis, urticaria, pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding).

When applied topically, do not mix with hydrogen peroxide or other disinfectants.
? Special instructions?
Prolonged use of high doses may lead to overdose, manifestations of iodism: marked rhinitis (influenza), increased salivation, urticaria, Quincke's tumor. In such cases, the drug should be discontinued, vomiting should be induced, gastric lavage should be performed, followed by symptomatic treatment.
The drug should be stored out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiration date.
