An empire built with KFC hardships

SHARE WITH FRIENDS:

We all know the KFC fast food chain. One of the oldest fast food restaurants in the United States. Many equate it with McDonald's. In fact, there are similarities between them. In both, the network’s founder was successful when he was over 50 years old. In the United States, McDonald's has been criticized for using unnatural products, and KFC has been criticized for being a chicken cousin.

Garlan Sanders was born on September 1890, 9, and his family was very poor. His mother was unemployed and his father was a farmer in Genreville. All the problems started after the death of his father. As a result, Garlan said goodbye to school before finishing 6th grade. He first got a job on a farm in Greenwood, became a tram conductor at the age of 15, and went to the army the following year. Garlan, who has returned from military service in Cuba, marries a girl named Claudia and lives in harmony with her for the rest of his life. It should be noted that even during the financial problems and difficulties in the family, Claudia continued to trust her husband and eventually achieved her goals.
By the age of 40, Garlan had dozens of careers, starting a small restaurant business. It introduces free services (changing car oil, washing it) for visitors to the restaurant. However, this restaurant will soon go bankrupt.
In 1935, an important event in Garlan's life took place: Kentucky Governor Ruby Laffun awarded him the title of "Colonel of Kentucky" for his services to the state. That's why he changes his image to a white suit and a black butterfly. This style is then included in the KFC logo.
At age 37, he opened a motel with a restaurant called Sanders Court & Cafe. That was the beginning of success. This is where the new chicken recipe will start cooking, which will increase the number of customers. Ammo…
However, construction of 1950 new highways connecting the United States began in the 75s, and Garlan's motel was on site, resulting in a drop in customer numbers and the motel being forced to close.
At the age of 60, the first appearance of the current KFC opens, it is not easy to bring back old customers, but Garlan uses marketing tactics wisely, studies the activities of competitors and eliminates their shortcomings in his restaurant. By 1965, hundreds of KFC branches were opening in the United States. Now Colonel Sanders was one of the richest men in the country.
Garlan Sanders died in 1980 at the age of 90. He dedicated the last years of his life to his wife, Claudia, co-hosted the Claudia Sanders Dinner House in Claudia's honor, traveled to many places, and did charity work.
KFC currently has branches in more than 50 countries. It employs thousands of people. Its annual revenue is more than half a billion dollars. In particular, there are 787 restaurants in the CIS, including 686 in Russia, 46 in Kazakhstan, 13 in Belarus, 15 in Ukraine, 8 in Azerbaijan, 9 in Armenia, 5 in Georgia, 3 in Kyrgyzstan and 2 in Uzbekistan.
