Attention to the state language is attention to independence, respect and loyalty to the state language is respect and loyalty to the Motherland!
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The mother tongue is the soul of the nation. Language is a state symbol and property. Preservation and development of the language means the rise of the nation. The status of the state language is legally established in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this way, the Uzbek language has become a symbol of the holy state, which stands among the flag, coat of arms, and anthem of our independent state and is protected by law.
If we look at the history, our mother tongue - Uzbek language was given the status of the state language on October 1989, 21. This has become an unforgettable, historical event in the life of our country and compatriots. If the law on language had not been adopted then, would the Uzbek language have been included in the pages of history?!
It should be noted that granting the status of the state language to the Uzbek language was one of the important steps towards achieving national independence of our nation. During the years of independence, important changes took place in the development of our language as well as in all areas. The international reputation of the Uzbek language has increased.
Thank you, it is no exaggeration to say that attention and respect for our national language gained historical importance once again in the speech of the head of state at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The greatest power lies in the mother tongue. Once again, our President showed his love for his people. This love is love for mother tongue, Motherland.
Language is a part of the image of the nation. We cannot say that all peoples of the world have their own national official language. Because it is related to the national independence of the people. According to experts, today one language is disappearing every two weeks. This, in turn, means the disappearance of the peoples who speak that language. According to representatives of UNESCO, once the number of languages spoken by people reached 7 to 8, today there are 6 languages on our planet, and 90% of them are on the verge of extinction. These are mainly the languages of a small number of nations that are losing their culture due to civilization. Some of the people who speak these languages have writing, while others do not.
Seeing the love for our native language in the sincere conversations and high moral qualities of our people, we are proud to be the children of such a nation.
No matter which front we take today, we can see that in all of them, work related to the state language and increasing the prestige of the Uzbek language has been raised to a higher level in terms of quality. In particular, it can be seen that the attitude towards the Uzbek language has fundamentally changed in the enterprises of the "Ozeltexanoat" association system. This can be witnessed, first of all, in the exchange of documents, in the accepted regulatory and legal documents, and in addition, the requirements of the pure Uzbek literary language are followed in the packaging and labels of each produced product. Such strict requirements are being taken into account in advertising and counters. Events and all meetings are organized primarily in Uzbek and other languages as needed.
There is a citizen living in this dear Motherland who, more than ever, feels the high pride and attention for the Uzbek language.
Indeed, since language is the mirror of culture and the wings of our soul, we should never forget that we are always dear and honorable among peoples, nations and peoples through our mother tongue. Uzbek grace, manners, national values, and manners are the key to the culture of our mother tongue.
After all, as the poet said:
Well, whoever enjoys what language,
I have sacrificed a thousand souls for my own language.
Early mother tongue if lost,
I agree to die today.
Here, another voice from the heart calls us to the heights. LET YOUR APPRECIATION BE HIGH, MY MOTHER LANGUAGE!
