Salohiddinov Mahmud Salohiddinovich (1933.23.11, Namangan - 2018.27.04, Tashkent) - mathematician, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (1974), Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan (1984), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1967), Professor (1969) ).

He graduated from the Central Asian University, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics (1955), where he was a graduate student (1955-58) and a teacher at the Department of Mathematical Analysis (1958-59), head of the Department of Differential Equations (1980-86, 1993-96). Researcher, head of department, deputy director for scientific affairs (1959-67), director (1959-85), vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (1984-85), Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan (1985) at the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan - 88), President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (1988-94). Chairman of the Department of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (1994-97). Head of the Department at the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (since 1974), Professor of the National University of Uzbekistan (since 2000).

His research interests include the solution of the Cauchy problem for a system of nonlinear specific differential equations, the theory of boundary value problems for boundary value differential equations, the theory of mixed and mixed-mixed type equations of theoretical and practical significance. Mahmud Salohiddinov developed the theory of mixed-joint-type differential equations, found their complete evolutionary and canonical forms, and examined a number of new problems for each case.

Laureate of the Beruni State Prize of Uzbekistan (1974).
