National games are a mirror of national spirituality

As President Islam Karimov noted in his book “High spirituality is an invincible force”, the spirituality of any people or nation cannot be imagined without its history, unique customs and traditions, vital values. In this regard, of course, the spiritual heritage, cultural riches, ancient historical monuments serve as an important factor.

During the years of independence, special attention has been paid to preserving our national traditions and values ​​and passing them on to the next generation. In this process, forgotten folklore, traditions and customs, national games are being revived.

Folk games have long been revered as an integral part of the cultural life of our ancestors. The roots of most games are very ancient, they have served for centuries to enrich the spirituality of our people, to deepen their thinking and emotions. The games reflect the lifestyle, work and achievements of the people. Therefore, they served as a "school of life" in educating the younger generation.

Play is a national value that arises from physical competitions, contests, debates, and performance requirements based on a specific rule or pre-agreed terms by various means of expression.

In the Laws of Medicine, Ibn Sina spoke about the role of wrestling and exercise in human physical education, and the healing properties of the game. Kaykovus, Umar Khayyam, Abulqasim Firdavsi, Beruni wrote about hundreds of games such as chess, backgammon, chess, tyranny, fencing, horseback riding. Alisher Navoi's works contain a lot of information about the games organized on the occasion of holidays, celebrations and weddings. They describe the organization of the games, the performers, the rules of the game.

The role of Mahmud Kashgari's "Devoni lug'otit turk" in the study of the history of national games is invaluable. More than one hundred and fifty types of folk games are mentioned in the play. These include "dark" (castle in the dark), "bandol" (captivity), "pass-pass" (round game), "chavgon" (ball) 'yini), "grass bandal" (stick game), fencing, javelin and other games. Some of the games described in the dictionary are still considered fun activities for children today.

The epic "Alpomish" is an important source in the study of folk dances. It embodies such qualities as courage, fighting spirit, bravery, perseverance, spiritual and physical perfection on the basis of games such as wrestling, horse, race, goat, javelin, archery, fencing, sniper.

In addition to regular games, there are games for each season. For example, in the spring, when the trees woke up and the willows sprouted buds - "willow leaves", when the wildflowers opened - "flower game", during the ripening of beans, walnut games, swing flights were loved and played. In late autumn and winter, when it rains, and when the ground is soft, pile, fall, and rock games become a habit. When it's snowing, it's scary, when it's raining, when it's raining, it's raining, when it's windy, it's stormy, when it's cold, it's all around the sandals. "Find the riddle," "Say it fast," "Who said it?" From late autumn to spring, "kid-kupkari" competitions were held.

From time immemorial, weddings and celebrations in our country have been held in the spirit of folk dances. In particular, from the most popular national games, goat-wrestling and wrestling have become a favorite spectacle of weddings and celebrations.

Strong people who struggled among the people were highly respected, and those around them looked at them with envy. That is why wrestlers who wrestle with their backs tied are considered to be the honored guests of folk festivals.

During the years of independence, our traditions have not only returned to their original form, but also enriched and refined. At present, songs, performances of folklore and ethnographic groups, lapar, olan, alla melodies, national folk dances are performed in harmony during our holidays.

The resolution of the head of state "On the preparation and holding of the national holiday of Navruz 2014" also includes folk dances, examples of folk art, deeply rooted in the hearts of our people. , it is emphasized that melodies and songs, which sing beautiful human feelings on high curtains, should be given ample space to the grass and lapars.

Folk games give a person a special pleasure, have a positive effect on mood. He plays an important role in the physical, mental and moral development of young people, in their development into strong, agile, resourceful, intelligent and courageous people. Our traditions and ceremonies, which reflect the unique sincerity of the Uzbek people, are a reflection of the beauty of our ancient culture.
