At the same time in the fertilized egg begins the process of division: first it is divided into two halves, each of which in turn divides again. Thus, from a single egg cell, innumerable cells are formed, forming a spherical body that resembles a mulberry fruit with a diameter of 1,5 mm. From these many cells, in a very complex way, the most wonderful gift of nature - the fetus, the human pink (embryonic egg) is formed. It develops inside the embryo. It should be noted that this is the most complex and mysterious period of the fetus. No woman can feel these complex processes going on inside her, nor can she tell when she became pregnant.

The embryonic egg, which enters the uterine cavity, is implanted in the uterine mucosa in 6-8 days, and pregnancy (pregnancy) occurs. Pregnancy lasts 9 months - 40 weeks or 280 days and ends with the birth of a child.
From the moment a pregnancy occurs and the fetus begins to form, the woman's body undergoes a corresponding process of change. As mentioned above, the fetus receives oxygen and nutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates, water, vitamins, hormones, mineral salts) from the mother's blood. The placenta acts as a complex chemical laboratory in which nutrients from the mother's blood are "processed" into a cider. The placenta also acts as a specific barrier that protects the fetus from various adverse external influences. Pregnant women are told from the beginning of the fetus that they should take various medications only with the permission and under the supervision of a doctor and avoid various infections. The reason is that the selectivity of the placenta is much lower. It can also damage the mother's body by accidentally passing foreign substances from the mother to the fetus. The placenta transports almost all chemicals and drugs, many viruses and microbes. After the baby is born, the placenta separates from the uterine wall and the umbilical cord, along with the fetal membranes, comes out through the birth canal.

The fetus grows and develops day by day, week, month. On the 18th day, the shape of the miraculous drop begins to change, it narrows and lengthens. In it, buds of nerves, blood-producing cardiovascular, digestive, excretory, and other organs begin to form, and something resembling a heart is formed. It begins to beat in the tiny "body". After another 8 days, the drop elongates twice, very small bumps are visible on its surface, which then turn into ears, chin, spine. This process takes place at 7 weeks.

The developmental period of the fetus up to two months is called the embryonic period. At 2 months, the fetus is 3 cm tall and weighs 11 g and is no different from mammals - the eyes are large, the skull is large, and the appearance is reminiscent of a fish. The fetus gradually begins to take on a human form. After 11 weeks, a small human body is formed. The organs and systems of the fetus, as well as the placenta, mature and mature.

The mother begins to feel the movement of the fetus at 20 weeks of gestation. The fetus displays periods of coordinated activity punctuated by periods of rapid contraction or muscle contraction.
