router, switch, hub? Read more about these devices! thank you

A hub is a network device with one input and multiple outputs. The signal transfer rate will be 10/100/1000 Mbit / s. If we divide the network into seven steps according to the OSI model, the hub corresponds to the first step.
Let’s look at the principle of hub operation. The hub sends a copy of the signal from port 1 to all ports at the same time. At this time, data was sent from another active device of the network connected to the hub. In this case, there is a loss of signals on this port. Because the hub works in semi-duplex mode. It is not able to transmit or receive from a single port. The hub is mainly used in small segments of the network. The hub, however, does not fully meet security requirements. The signal it copies can reach all computer network adapters on the network. This leads to possession of information in an unauthorized state. Sending a copy of the signal will slow down hub performance. The load will increase. The result is data loss. As the number of computers on the network increases, the FIC of the hub decreases.
A switch is a network switch that connects multiple segments. The switch corresponds to step 2 of the OSI model. A switch in the network administrator language is a switch, also called a bridge. The signal transfer rate will be 10/100/1000 Mbit / s. However, separate 2/10 Gbit / s ports are available to connect the switches to each other and operate in full duplex mode. It does not send a copy of the data to all ports. Instead, the packet sends a signal to the recipient's address. The switch stores the MAS address of the computers on the network in its memory table for some time. This increases the speed, reliability and security of packet transmission. The switch stores the received signal in the buffer memory. Switches are divided into controlled and uncontrolled types. Each port of the controlled switch can be attached to a separate segment. If the switch has 48 ports, its double-digit ports can be attached to 192.168.xx and its single-digit ports to 172.57.xx. Alternatively, it is possible to broadcast from port 10 to port 20. In general, the range of capabilities of switches is wide. They can be used in different fields, for different purposes. It is possible to create a WLAN using switches. Using a WLAN makes it much easier to manage large networks.
A router or router is a device that connects two or more different types of networks to each other. The router is in the form of an application and a device. On the simplest router, there are at least 2 ports. One is a WAN port and the other is a LANport. The WAN port can be connected to a network of different technologies - xDSL, Frame Relay, ATM, etc. A network of Ethernet technology is connected to the LAN port. The router works based on the routing table. It comes in two forms: dynamic routing and static routing. Dynamic routing is convenient in appearance, you do not need to configure it. It stores information about all the devices connected to it. From time to time it sends packets to the network and builds the network in memory through the response from them. But this causes the router to run more (load increases). Nor can it be said to be perfect in terms of security. Static routing meets all the requirements of network security. The network route is pre-recorded in it. All packages run on this route.
