Suyima G'anieva (1932-2018)

Suyima Ganieva was born in 1932 in the city of Tashkent. In 1952 he graduated from the Central Asian State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), Faculty of Oriental Studies. From 1953 to 1956 he studied at the graduate school of Leningrad State University. He was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Order "El-Yurt Hurmati", the Order "Buyuk Hizmatlari Uchun" and the honorary title of Hero of Uzbekistan.

He began his career in 1956 as a junior researcher at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. In the same year he defended his dissertation on the works of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi. Later he worked as a scientific secretary of the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, head of the department at the Tashkent State Conservatory, professor of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.

14 monographs, more than 350 scientific-theoretical articles created by S.Ganieva during her scientific activity have been published in national and international scientific publications, more than 20 textbooks have been applied in the educational process of higher educational institutions of the republic. His works such as "Life and work of Alisher Navoi", "National ideology in the works of Alisher Navoi", "Motives of generosity in Navoi's ghazals", "Navoi's will", "Navoi's signature" have been recognized as scientific discoveries by domestic and foreign literary critics.

S. Ganieva found and published Alisher Navoi's work "Munojot", which has been unknown to science for many years. In 2011, the scientist took an active part in the preparation for publication of a 20-volume collection of works by Alisher Navoi.
