Shukur Qurban's ancestors were originally from Kokand and moved to Avliyota (later Jambul, now Taroz in Kazakhstan) in the last century.
Shukur Kurban was born on July 1951, 6. This year, their family will return to the Balikchi district of Andijan. The future poet studied at the 1st and 14th boarding schools in the center of the district and the 8th boarding school in Eski Haqqulobod. His interest in literature began at school age, and his first poems were published in the district newspaper.
Shukur Kurban studied at the Faculty of Philology of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) (1968–1973). He began his career in the magazine "Sharq Yulduzi" (1973-1984), then worked in the Tashkent regional branch of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan (1984-1985), the Uzbek Television and Radio Company (1985-2002), the magazine "For a Healthy Child" (2002-2006). He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan.

He wrote "Temur Malik", "Behzod", "Soz yoli", "Vatandan ketish", "Do'st", "Anbar ona", "Onam qoshidasan yoxdu singlim Muhabbatga maktublar", "Sistlim", "Ukajonlar, singiljonlarim", "Tinchlik He wrote epics such as "A Troubled Song", "Companion", "Landscape of a Heart". The poet's one-hour radio show based on the epic "Master Shodi or the story of the composer" was aired on the Golden Fund of Radio Uzbekistan. As translators F. Petrarch, A. Pushkin, A. Mitskevich, J. Prever, N. Hikmat, M. Lermontov, R. Hamzatov, Ye. He translated works of Yevtushenko and other classical and modern poets into our native language.
Shukur Qurban was awarded the prize of the Movarounnahr Muslim Religious Board in 1989 for his spiritual and enlightenment works.
