View and control the smartphone screen on the computer

SHARE WITH FRIENDS:

Why do you need it?

For example, if you want to play a game on your phone, its screen is smaller. So you want to play the phone screen on our computer monitor?

If you’re an Android developer and can’t afford to use an emulator, you’ll want to connect and use your phone — but don’t like to grab your phone every time. Want to control with a mouse just like you use an emulator?

It will be very convenient in such cases.

Let's get started

Step 1:

Download the scrcpy program here:

https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/releases/down…

Step 2:

Unzip the downloaded file

Step 3:

Paste the folder you extracted from the zip into C: \ Program Files \ scrcpy \

In general, you can place it in any folder, but it is better that the programs are located here

Step 4:

Now create a shortcut to the scrcpy.exe file in this folder and copy it to the Desktop.

Step 5:

Connect your phone to the computer via USB and launch the scrcpy program by clicking on the shortcut you created in step 4. Depending on your computer and USB cable, the program may start in 3-4 seconds.

Bonus

If you, as a cool programmer like me, want to run scrcpy from a terminal or on Windows with Win + R, you need to add the scrcpy folder to Path in System Restore. For this:

  1. scrcpy Get the address of the folder where you are standing (Copy) as ctrl + c.
  2. Enter System Variables.
  3. Select Path from the System Change list (at the bottom).
  4. In step 1, add the address we got to ctrl + c to Path.

Now you can run scrcpy from the terminal or with Win + R
