Is the internet traffic on your phone running out in the blink of an eye? If you don't want to overpay for internet on your smartphone, follow these tips…
Beware of trap applications
Downloading unwanted apps to your phone over the Internet are the real enemies of traffic. Some apps continue to "eat" mobile traffic even in the background of the phone.
Most often, messengers such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook are the main "consumers" of the Internet. Traffic savings can be achieved by turning them on only when needed. You will need to access the settings to find out which apps on your phone are “eating” traffic.

For Android gadgets, just go to the "Data usage" section of "Settings". On iOS devices, you need to access the "Mobile" section of "Settings".
It is also possible to change individual programs, individual settings. For example, disabling WhatsApp’s audio-video file sharing feature can save you significant traffic. All you have to do is go to the "Data and Storage" section of the application and turn off the "Auto Load Media" button.

Data compression
Traffic savings can be achieved if specific browsers and data compression are used. You can enable data compression in Google Chrome, Opera Max, Opera Mini. For this:
• Access the Home app;
• Click on a vertical point in the upper right corner;
• Go to "Settings" from the drop-down list;
• You need to go to the "Save Traffic" section and activate it.
Disable update
The bulk of the traffic is spent on automatically loading system programs. We recommend disabling automatic boot mode. For this:
• Access the "Settings" section;
• You need to go to the “System Update” section and turn off the automatic boot button.
On most phones, such tasks are in the "About Phone" section. On iOS devices, you need to turn off the "use mobile data" menu of the App and iTunes Store.
"Turn on" traffic saving
Every phone has this feature. To do this, you need to go to "Settings". Then you need to go to the "Network and Internet", "Data Sharing" and "Tariff Savings" sections in sequence. Once you have access to them, be sure to activate the desired buttons. When the tariff saving function is activated, a special icon will appear on your phone.
Get rid of ads
Ads that appear due to various apps or programs can take up extra gigabytes of yours. It is recommended to use AdAway software to limit the "curling" of redundant ads on the phone. To use it, you need to download the hosts files. These files are responsible for deleting ads.

There will also be a button to turn off advertising in the settings of each app. There are special applications that block ads on the Internet. You can also use them.
