When will this issue be relevant?
- If you find out that your Internet traffic is going fast;
- you find that your internet speed has dropped;
- If someone around your house is staring at the phone (that is, they may be using the Internet), it's not a joke, I witnessed it myself.
You can tell who is using your internet from the router's admin panel, but it's quite inconvenient, you have to access it every time, type in login passwords, so there's a lot of work and most people can't even find a menu that knows who's connected.
Meet Wireless network watcher (https://t.me/planetaitsoft/95) software for PC. This is a very small program, not a program, but a utility. With this utility you can see the following:
▪️ IP addresses of devices connected to the router;
▪️MAC address;
▪️Device names;
▪️Name of the company produced;
▪️activity status;
Using the utility:
The utility will not be installed, you will run the exe file. Then, wait a bit, the existing 254 IP addresses will be scanned and first the router address, then a list of devices connected to it will appear. The scan will continue.
What happens next?
If you suspect the presence of a foreign device, for example 3 people at home use the Internet generated by this router, when you scan through the utility 5 MAC addresses are displayed, it means that someone else is using your Internet, your action: record all MAC addresses generated by the utility, and you you compare familiar devices with the MAC address (MAC address definition (https://t.me/planetait/531)), and if it starts, you go to the router admin panel and block the MAC address at the beginning (https://t.me/planetait/ 534).
