What are the benefits of fairy tales?

SHARE WITH FRIENDS:

There is probably no nation in the world that does not have a national fairy tale. Almost all of us grew up listening to fairy tales from our grandparents, parents, siblings or teachers. At least we read from books.
I clearly remember. When I was three or four, my father brought me a picture book. No caption, just a picture. My aunt made a fairy tale out of it, and I imagined the events and the characters in it. I lived in that fairy-tale world. I recently came across a short article on the Internet about the benefits of fairy tales. When I think about it, I have the same conclusions and generalizations. After reading the article, you will probably come to the same conclusion. So, what is the effect of a fairy tale on a child's psyche and upbringing?
Fairy tales are not only a means of learning, but also a means of healing. For example, telling a story to a bereaved child with a parental image, or telling such stories directly to the child, can be very encouraging. With the help of this fairy tale, he confronts himself, sees himself as good, polite and happy. Good imagination and thoughts help him a lot.
There are many benefits to making a story as a team. This allows adolescents (ten to twelve) to understand themselves and their peers. In young children, it develops the ability to interact with others.
A parent who writes a story with their child learns about their child's thoughts and desires, which they do not express openly at other times, and has the opportunity to speak to them in a language they understand.
With the help of fairy tales, parents and children develop the ability to comprehend and feel the word, expand the possibilities of creative thinking. The child sees himself in the image of the heroes of fairy tales, "participates" in the events. As a result, he develops imagination. This is an important quality - the basis of creative thinking.
Fairy tales are also a great help in explaining what is good and what is bad. Fairy-tale characters are always divided into good and bad. Under the influence of fairy tales, the child develops a sense of love for the good, kindness and hatred for the bad. He begins to distinguish between evil and good.
Of course, fairy tales should be chosen according to the age of the child. Relatively young children should be taught simple, easy-to-understand stories. The use of color pictures or puppets makes the story easier to understand. As your child gets older, fairy tales will "grow up". Especially after you start reading independently, you can recommend large-scale, multi-story stories.
