What is the blood pressure norm?

The generally accepted human normal blood pressure is 120/80. However, it should be noted that depending on age, individuality of the organism, time of day and other factors, the indicator of normal blood pressure, or what is often called ideal blood pressure or working blood pressure, may vary.

For example, let’s look at a chart that shows normal pressure for people of different ages:

Age upper (systolic) lower (diastolic)

16-20 100-120 70-80

20-40 120-130 70-80

40-60 140 to 90 each

60 years + 150 90

Excess blood pressure is called hypertension (arterial hypertension), low hypotension (arterial hypotension).
