What is the importance of conviction in recruitment?

- Most of us choose good professions and intend to work in this field. But at the time of hiring, we are asked if you have been convicted or if any of your family members have been convicted. If the applicant is convicted, they are sometimes denied employment on the grounds that they have been convicted. Is this legal?

- It is illegal. That is, according to Article 78 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, when you start working for an organization, it is illegal for an employer not to hire you on the grounds that you or one of your close relatives has a criminal record.

- The employer may be held liable for this. If you come across such cases, you can go to the appropriate places without fear.
