Will there be an advertising service in Telegram now?
In November 2017, the founders of the Telegram network issued an official statement saying “messenger will never sell ads”. Pavel Durov noted that today the company announces that it is working on its advertising platform.
This means that the ads we usually encounter on other social networks will soon be available on Telegram Messenger as well.
It is worth noting that on April 2020, 24, Telegram Messenger announced that it had reached 400 million monthly active users. And on January 2021, 8, Pavel Durov announced in his blog post that Telegram is among the “nearly 500 million” active users every month.
This means that Telegram is the most downloaded app in January 2021.
