Regulations on the procedure for selection of candidates for military service on a contract basis to the units of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan were approved (list number 3210, 13.01.2020y.).
The selection process includes the following steps:

initial study of the candidate;

assessment of the level of physical fitness;

psychological study (assessment of the candidate's level of intellectual development and psycho-emotional stability);

medical examination;
-
special inspection.
In exceptional cases, recruitment to the National Guard is provided only for the following categories through medical examination and special examination:

scientists with academic degrees or titles, as well as representatives of culture;

Athletes who have won national or international sports competitions for the past 5 years.
The following may participate in the selection:

Persons between the ages of 18 and 30;
-
persons under 40 years of age who have served in the military under a previous contract;
-
reserve and reserve officers under 40 years of age.
For the purpose of preliminary examination of candidates, a permanent Commission for the Preliminary Examination of Candidates shall be established by order of the head or commander of the National Guard, and the dates of admission of candidates shall be determined. The head or commander of the division is the chairman of the commission, and the head of the personnel body is the secretary of the commission.
Information stands with information on the procedure for selection of candidates, their requirements and regular admission days should be placed at the entrances of the National Guard units.
Those who wish to enlist in the military on a contract basis may apply to the National Guard at their place of residence. Applicants for temporary residence may be those who are studying or working in the area.
The regulations set clear criteria for candidates to pass each stage of the selection process. The Regulations also set out the procedure for registration of candidates who have passed all the stages of selection and their enlistment in the National Guard on a contract basis.
