Kilimanjaro (Mountain of the God of Cold in Swahili) is a volcanic mountain in East Africa. The height is 5895 m. It consists of three extinct volcanoes: Kibo (3 m), Mavenzi (5895 m) and Shira (5355 m). Kilimanjaro is mainly composed of trachybasalt and phonolite. Above it there are lava fields, permanent snow and glaciers on the peaks. On the western slope, the glacier descends to a height of 4006 m.
