A permanent cone-shaped volcano with a height of 2518 meters in the west of the North Island in New Zealand. The Taranaki volcano played a starring role in the movie "The Last Samurai" due to its outward resemblance to Japan's Mount Fuji, located in the same Pacific Ring of Fire region.
