Brief description:
Each year, Rotary selects up to 100 people from around the world to receive a fully-fledged academic scholarship or master’s degree program related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention at peace centers around the world (USA). . , Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden, Thailand, Uganda)

University of Bradford, England
• University of Queensland, Australia
Uppsala University, Sweden
• University of Chulalongkorn, Thailand (certification program)
Makerere University, Uganda (certificate program)
Important Note: Scholarship recipients should not study at the Rotary Peace Center in their home country, with the exception of applicants from Thailand who are eligible to attend Chulalongkorn University.
Level of study:
Certificate program or master's degree in areas related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention
Number of grants:
Up to 50 scholarships are awarded each year for a master’s degree and 80 scholarships are awarded for a certificate.
Grant Amount / Supplements:
Scholarships include tuition and fees, room and board, business trip transportation, as well as internship and tuition fees.
Who can apply?
The Rotery Peace Foundation is designed for professionals with experience in international relations or peace and conflict prevention and resolution. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Knowledge of English; knowledge of a second language is highly recommended
International and demonstrated commitment to peace through professional and academic achievement, personal and team service
• Excellent leadership skills
• Master's students: at least three years of work or voluntary work experience, bachelor's degree
• Applicants for the certificate: full-time or at least five years of work experience as a volunteer, must have academic knowledge.
Instructions for use:
The deadline for candidates to apply to the relevant Rotary District is May 31. Districts must submit approved applications to the Rotary Foundation by July 1st.
