What to do when the foot is twisted? RICE therapy helps.
If your foot is twisted and it is at a level that does not pose a serious risk, RICE therapy is recommended for recovery:
👉 R - Rest - rest. Rest your injured foot. Try to walk less for 1-2 days after the injury.
👉 I - Ice - ice. To relieve pain and swelling, place a towel-wrapped ice or other frozen object on the injured joint.
👉 C - compress. Tie a knot around the joint that holds it tightly, or wear socks. This will help eliminate the swelling. Make sure that blood flow is not disturbed.
👉 E - elevate - ascend. Immediately after the injury, lift your injured leg above the heart position and lie down for at least half an hour. To do this, put a pillow under the heel. This practice relieves swelling and speeds recovery
