According to statistics, there are currently 64 universities and their branches in the country, of which 25 are state and 39 are non-state universities.

According to the national ranking of the following universities in Kyrgyzstan, the quality of education is higher than in other universities of the country:

- National University of Kyrgyzstan,
- Osh State University,
- Kyrgyz State University,
- Kyrgyz National Agrarian University,
- Kyrgyz State Technical University,
- Kyrgyz State Medical Academy,
- National Conservatory of Kyrgyzstan,
- Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports,
- Osh University of Technology.

Such results can be seen in the indicators in the process of recognition of documents by applicants who have graduated from these universities.

Also, according to the results of tests for the recognition of documents by graduates of the following state and non-state universities, the quality of education is not well organized:

- International University of Central Asia,
- Kyrgyz-Uzbek University,
- International School of Medicine,
- Kyzyl-Kiya Humanitarian-Pedagogical University of Batken State University,
- Osh Humanitarian-Pedagogical Institute,
- Jalal-Abad State University,
- Osh State Law Institute,
- Mayluu-Suu Institute of Economics and Management.

‼ ️ According to the analysis, graduates of such universities face difficulties in meeting the requirements of the labor market of Uzbekistan.
