⚡️What is the cost of earthquake disaster?
As a result of the earthquakes in Turkey, residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were destroyed. The port and large companies stopped working.
Local agencies estimate that the damage in Turkey alone will reach $15 billion. The saddest thing is that about 21 people died, and this is not the last number.
"Expensive" earthquakes in recent years:
— Japan (2011):
The strongest 9-point earthquake in the history of Japan occurred 370 km northeast of Tokyo. Damage $198-309 billion, 20 dead;
— China (2008):
In the earthquake in the Sichuan province of China, the damage is $153 billion, the number of dead and missing is 87,5.
— Chile (2010):
The earthquake that occurred 115 km north of Concepción caused $15 billion in damage and 800 deaths.
