Khudoiberdi Tukhtaboev's "Biographies" reads as follows: “I was born on December 1932, 17 in the village of Katta Tagob in the Fergana region. My father, Tokhtavoy, was listened to when he was 21 and died in Chorku, Tajikistan. Two years later my mother Sorabibi's aunt Ashirbibi died and her five children were orphaned, so she married her husband Usta Qadir (this was the decision of the relatives).
My upbringing was in the care of my grandfather Erkavoy and my mother Robiyabibi. My spirit, my character, and my character are shaped by my grandfather, the gardener, my fairy-tale grandmother.
My adolescence coincided with the years of World War II. In 1949 I graduated from Kokand Pedagogical School, in 1955 from Tashkent State University (formerly known as SAGU).
I came to Tashkent in 1958. First I worked for Tashkent Oqshomi and then for O'zbekiston Ovozi for a total of 14 years.
I have written more than 14 feuilletons in 300 years. No, I was not satisfied with them anyway. Just as we were not affected by the slashing of the anti-tank slingshot, my feuilletons aimed at the vices of society seemed to have no effect. I began to think, "How can I work in a world of children whose souls are pure, who listen to discipline, who strive for knowledge of good and sin, whose souls strive for beauty?"
X. As noted by Tukhtaboev, he devoted all his creative potential to the creation of works that will serve to interpret the world of children and adolescents, to enrich their spiritual world. Therefore, in the management of the youth publishing house, "Gulkhan", "Yosh Kuch" magazines, "Talent" Foundation, he paid attention to the protection and enrichment of beauty in the psyche of children and adolescents.
Published stories and collections: "Hurry" (1961), "Trails" (1966), "Love song" (1967), "Jonginam, say your condition" (1969), short stories: "The secret is revealed" (1961), "Omonboy The Adventures of Davronboy ”(1974), novels:“ Riding the Yellow Giant ”(1968),“ Death of the Yellow Giant ”(1973),“ The Boy with Five Children ”(1976),“ The Golden Head of the Avengers ”(1981),“ Years and Roads ”(1983),“ The Land of Sweet Melons ”(1986),“ Sad Eyes ”(1988),“ Paradise People ”(1966),“ Teenagers quarreling with a girl ”,“ Kingdom of rabbits ”,“ Don’t throw a stone at a girl ”, all all in all, his intense creative activity ng was the result.
In 1972 he was awarded the prize of the Youth Organization of Uzbekistan, in 1982 the title of "Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan", in 1989 the State Prize of Uzbekistan.
People's writer of Uzbekistan Khudoiberdi Tukhtaboyev's works have been translated into Tajik, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Moldovan, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Finnish, Bulgarian, Hungarian, German, Czech, Italian - a total of 24 languages.
The reason for the translation of "Riding the Yellow Giant" into world languages was the warm words of Gianni Rodari about the work at the World Council of Children's Writers in Rome, Italy in 1971.
From the book “Uzbek writers” (S. Mirvaliev, R. Shokirova. Tashkent, Gafur Gulom Publishing House of Literature and Art, 2016).
