Starting from January 2023, 1, the practice of recalculating the amount of disability pension for persons with disabilities of groups I and II, if they have at least 1 year of work experience after the appointment of a pension, taking into account the work experience and salary, and every 2 years in the future is introduced. Amendment to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Pension Provision of Citizens", which was considered at the session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on August 24 of this year, and adopted in the first reading, aimed at improving the procedure for assigning pensions and additions" is defined in the draft law.
In accordance with the current legislation, working time after the award of group I and II disability pension is added to seniority when awarding age-related or survivor's pension. In this case, if a citizen receiving a disability pension continues to receive a disability pension when he reaches retirement age or loses a dependent (does not switch to another type of pension), the disability pension will not be recalculated by adding the working hours after the appointment of group I and II disability pension.
According to the draft law, starting from January 2023, 1, persons with group I and II disabilities who have at least 1 year of work experience after the pension will be awarded, taking into account the work experience and salary, and in the future, the amount of disability pension will be revised every 2 years. calculation practice is introduced.
Deputies said that the adoption of this draft law will help to prevent different approaches in practice, eliminate situations that cause corruption factors, increase the income of persons with disabilities based on the principle of social justice.
