The fastest tortoise in the world.
The tortoise, nicknamed Bertie, is the fastest moving tortoise in the world, reaching speeds of up to 28 centimeters per second. The normal speed of a tortoise is about 10.
Bertie is the fastest driver among his relatives, and in July 2014 he accelerated to 28 centimeters per second (about 0,97 kilometers per hour), breaking the previous record set in 1977. If Bertie had run a hundred yards, she would have covered the distance in six minutes.
