▪️Surah is derived from an Arabic word (ridge, row, honor) meaning only a concept specific to the Qur'an, its parts are called sura. The Surah is a part of the Qur'an and contains three or more verses.
There are 114 suras in the Qur'an, each with its own name. The shortest sura in the Qur'an is Surat al-Kawthar, while the longest is Surat al-Baqara, which consists of 286 verses.
