The most polluted country in the world

Bangladesh is the most polluted country in the world and its city of Dhaka is one of the most polluted cities in the world. The biggest source of air pollution is the brick industry, which employs a million people and generates 23 billion bricks a year. In brick production, stoves burn wood and coal and produce large amounts of smoke and dust.

Due to the increase in demand for bricks, the brick manufacturing industry is only growing, which leads to air pollution. “I am covered with a layer of dust particles in a few hours after my furniture is cleaned,” said a North Dhaka resident, and “I am worried about how much dust has settled in my lungs.”
