The need for mobile traffic has increased dramatically over the years due to the pandemic. In the first quarter of 2021, 66 exabytes (i.e. 66 million terabytes) of traffic fell to the share of mobile devices. 73% of this traffic was accounted for by Android and 26,3% by iOS devices.

The worldwide average cost of 1 GB of mobile traffic is $ 4,07. Greek mobile internet is the most expensive - twice the global average: $ 8,16. Prices are also not cheap in the UAE and New Zealand: $ 7,62 and $ 6,99, respectively. The cheapest internet in Israel: $ 0,05 per gigabyte.
