Zohidjon Obidov (1923-1996)

Zohidjon Obidov was born in 1923 in Tashkent. Participated in World War II. He graduated from Tashkent State University.

He worked as a teacher at the Namangan Pedagogical Institute, head of the regional Writers' Union. After returning to Tashkent, he worked for the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, Gafur Gulam and Yosh Gvardiya publishing houses, and Mushtum magazine.

His "Good Intentions" (1957), "The Harvest of the New Moon" (1961), "With a Heart in Love" (1963), "A Gift from China" (1963), "Morning Stars" (1964), "Your Traces" (1965) , "Song of the Heart" (1968), "My Laughter" (1969), "Waves of Hope" (1972), "Waves in the Heart" (1973), "Burning Groom" (1973), "Selected Works" (1974), "Talpinur " (1977), "Winged Songs" (1979).

Zohidjon Obidov M. Lermontov, T. Shevchenko, M. Bajan, R. He also translated works of famous poets such as Khamzatov into Uzbek. He was awarded the title of war veteran, honored cultural worker of Uzbekistan. He died on August 1996, 5.
