Poland (Republic of Poland, in which the official name of the country is not the modern Polish word republic), but the old word - Rzeczpospolita (Polish: Common thing)) is a state in Europe, washed by the Baltic Sea in the north. Member of the European Union. The area is 312,7 thousand km². A total of 38,5 mln. person (2020). The capital is Warsaw. Administratively, it is divided into 16 voivodships (wojewodztwo).
