Once upon a time, foxes, frogs, and canals were friends. They set out on a journey. He is on his way. On the way they found a pile of wheat. All three quarreled, arguing, "I'll take it."
Then:
"I have a suggestion, so that the three of us may eat from three sides until we quarrel like this, and all three of us will have enough for one winter," he said. Fox:
"It won't happen, we'll run." He who comes first will receive it all.
Then, as the three were about to run, the mite unknowingly clung to the fox's tail. The fox came running round and said, "I'm here," and the fox came out and said, "I'm here." The frog was left behind. Three times they ran like that, but each time Kana was the first to say, "I'm here."
Then the fox and the frog took the cane and begged for distribution. Kana agreed. The three of them began to eat from three sides. They said they hadn't finished yet.
